What is the Online Pre Sessional English Programme?

A fully online, tutor led academic English course designed to help international students meet the language requirements for entry to undergraduate or postgraduate study in the UK. The programme combines live, face to face online classes with guided self study to build the confidence and skills needed for academic success.

Course structure

Entry Requirement:

✔️ Offer of a place from a participating university (e.g., Leeds Conservatoire or Leeds Arts University).

English Language Requirements:

✔️ 12 week course: IELTS 5.0 (min. 4.5 in each skill)
✔️ 6 week course: IELTS 5.5 (min. 5.0 in each skill)

Students who have not yet met the English language requirement can use this programme to fulfil their offer condition.

Visa information

✔️ A visa is not required for the Online Pre Sessional English Programme
✔️ Students will receive their main course CAS after successfully completing the programme
✔️ Once the CAS is issued, students may apply for their UK study visa for the main degree
